The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic is specially designed for the Yamaha MT-03 motorcycle model from 2025. This accessory enables a safe and easy assembly of a tank bag directly on the fuel tank of the motorcycle.

Components and assembly

The tanking basic is included in the delivery of the tanking basic and an adaptable counterholder. The counter holder is attached to the tank bag depending on the specific tank shape and the handlebars. The fuel lid remains fully accessible even with assembled tanking, which makes use easier.

• The tanking offers a stable hold, even at high driving speeds.
• The operation is carried out via a mechanical lock, which enables a clearly audible snapping when the tank bag is put on.
• A belt is used for unlocking, which is located at the front of the tank bag in the direction of travel. After unlocking, the tank bag can be easily removed.
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for the use of the tank bag system.
• The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
• The maximum payload for the tank bag should not exceed about 3 kg.
• It is recommended to observe the information from the motorcycle manufacturer and the specific information on assembly.

Differences to other tankingen

The basic tanking differs from the lock-it tanking by the type of locking. While the Lock-IT tanking also uses magnets for the centering, the locking is purely mechanical for basic tanking. The basis of the tanking, the model -specific metal ring, remains identical in both variants.

Further information: tank bags and counterholder must be from the same system to ensure compatibility. A tank bag with lock-IT counterholder is not compatible with a basic tanking ring and vice versa.
