Overview of the Hepco & Becker Tankring Basic for Yamaha FZR 750
The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic was specially developed for the Yamaha for 750 and for 1000 years 1987 to 1988. This product significantly simplifies the assembly of a tank bag on the machine said.
Product content and assembly
In addition to the ring, the scope of delivery of the tanking basic also includes a customizable counter holder, which is attached to the tank bag depending on the specific tank shape and the handle of the handlebar. A special feature of this system is that the tank cover remains fully accessible even if the tankring is attached.
Required components
For the full functionality, only the tanking and a suitable tank bag for the Yamaha models mentioned are required. Further information on compatible models and tank bags can be easily determined via the "Mein Bike" database or by a manual check in the shop.
Technical features and operation
- The tanking ensures a secure hold even at higher speeds.
- The operation is carried out by a mechanical lock that fixes the tank bag securely and audibly.
- A mechanism is used for unlocking, which is operated by a belt on the front part of the tank bag, whereupon the backpack can be easily removed.
- In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for the tank sack system.
- The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
- The maximum recommended payload of the tank bag is around 3 kg.
Please always note the information from the motorcycle manufacturer and the specific instructions that are delivered with the product.
Differences to other tankingen
The basic tanking differs from the lock-it tanking by the type of locking. While the lock-IT fueling also works with magnets for centering, the locking is purely mechanical for the basic model. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.
In addition, it should be noted that tank bags with lock-IT opposite holders cannot be mounted on a basic tanking and vice versa, since the systems are not compatible.
