The Hepco & Becker Tankring Basic enables safe and easy attachment of tank bags to the Moto Guzzi V 11 Scura. This system is specially designed for the models from 1999 to 2005 and is characterized by high functionality and user -friendliness.

Installation and compatibility

In the scope of delivery of the tanking basic, the tanking itself and an adaptable counter holder are included, which is mounted on the tank bag depending on the tank shape and handlebar. Even with attached tanking, access to the tank cover remains without restriction.

Characteristics and operation

• The tanking ensures a stable hold of the tank bag, even at high speeds.
• The tank bag is assembled by a mechanical lock that signals a clearly audible snap.
• The unlocking is carried out via a belt on the front part of the tank bag, which makes it easy to remove.
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for the tank sack system.
• The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
• The maximum payload for the tank bag should not exceed about 3 kg.

Additional Information

It should be noted that tank bags and counterholder of the same system have to be used in order to avoid compatibility problems. The assembly instructions and specific information from the motorcycle manufacturer should always be taken into account.

Basic tanking differs primarily from the Lock-IT tanking by the type of locking. While the basic tanking mechanically locked, the lock-IT fueling also supports magnet to center the backpack.
