The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic is specially designed for the motorcycle model Kawasaki ZX-9 R Ninja from 1994 to 1997. This component enables a solid and secure attachment of a compatible tank bag directly to the fuel tank of the motorcycle.

Product features and functionality

The scope of delivery includes the basic tanking and a customizable counter holder, which is installed depending on the specific tank shape and the handlebar attack on the tank bag. Even with attached tanking, the tank cover can be easily opened, which simplifies the handling.

• The tanking ensures a stable hold, even at high driving speeds.
• The tank bag is installed by a mechanical lock that signals a clear snap.
• The unlocking of the backpack is made possible by a front belt on the tank bag, which makes it easier to lose weight.
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for the use of this system.
• Recommended maximum speed with a fueled tank bag is 130 km/h.

Additional Information

The basic tanking differs from the lock-it tanking by the type of locking. While the lock-IT fueling also works with magnets for centering, the locking is purely mechanical for the basic model. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.

It is important to make sure that tank bags and tanking are compatible and come from the same system, since a tank bag with lock-IT counterholder cannot be installed on a basic tankring and vice versa.
