This tanking basic from Hepco & Becker has been specially developed for the Honda CRF 1000 L Africa Twin Adventure Sports and DCT from the construction years 2018 to 2019. It enables a safe and easy attachment of Hepco & Becker tank bags to the machine.

Product features and scope of delivery

• The tanking ensures a stable hold of the tank bag, even at higher speeds.
• A mechanical lock ensures easy handling and secure closure of the tank bag on the ring.
• The unlocking takes place via a belt on the tank bag, which is attached in the direction of travel.
• The fuel lid remains fully accessible even when fueled.
• The scope of delivery includes the tanking and a customizable counter holder for the tank backpack.
• The maximum payload of the tank bag should not exceed approx. 3 kg.
• The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.

Technical information

The assembly of the tanking does not require registration in the vehicle documents in Germany. It is important to consider the specific instructions of the motorcycle manufacturer and the instructions of the product in order to ensure correct installation and use.

Differences to other tanking models

Compared to the Lock-IT fueling from Hepco & Becker, which also use magnets for the centering, the basic tanking offers a purely mechanical lock. Both systems use the same model -specific metal ring, with the main difference in the attachments used (magnet for plastic).

Please note that a tank bag with lock-IT counterholder cannot be installed on a basic tanking and vice versa, since the systems are not compatible.
