The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic has been specially developed for the Honda CRF 1000 L Africa Twin models from the construction years 2016 to 2017. This product enables a secure and easy attachment of a compatible tank bag directly on the motorcycle.

Product features

• The tanking ensures a stable hold of the tank bag, even at higher speeds.
• The tank bag is assembled by a mechanical lock that offers a clearly audible confirmation when snapping in.
• To remove the backpack, the locking mechanism is activated by a belt that is located at the front of the tank bag.
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for the tank sack system.
• The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
• The maximum payload for the tank bag should not exceed about 3 kg.
• It is recommended to observe the specific manufacturer's notes of the motorcycle and the instructions of the product.

Differences to other tanking models

Compared to the Lock-IT fueling system, which also works with magnets for centering, the basic tanking offers purely mechanical locking without magnetic support. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring. It is important that tank bag and tanking must be compatible and from the same system to ensure correct function.

Scope of delivery

The scope of delivery includes the tanking basic and the corresponding counterholder, which is attached to the tank bag depending on the tank shape and handlebar. The fuel lid remains fully accessible even when fueled.
