The Hepco & Becker Tankring Basic is specially designed for the Ducati Multistrada 1200 and 1200/s of the construction years 2015 to 2017. This product enables stable and secure attachment of a corresponding tank bag directly to the motorcycle tank.

• The tanking ensures secure fixation of the tank bag, even at high driving speeds.
• The assembly and operation of the tankers are simply kept by a mechanical lock.
• The tank backpack on the ring takes place effortlessly and can be recognized by a clear snap.
• The unlocking of the backpack is made possible by a tensile mechanism on the front of the backpack, whereupon it can be easily removed.
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for the tank sack system.
• The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
• The maximum payload of the tank bag should not exceed about 3 kg.

Technical details and assembly

The tanking basic is delivered together with a counter holder, which is mounted on the tank bag depending on the tank shape and handlebar. The fuel lid remains fully accessible even when tanking is attached. The installation of the tanking does not require any additional adjustments to the motorcycle and can be done without specialist knowledge.

Comparison with Lock-IT fenkringen

Although the basic functionality and handling of the two tanking models is similar, the basic tanking is different from the purely mechanical lock. In contrast, the centering of the tank bag supports additional magnets with the Lock-IT fenuscas.

Further information

It is important to note that tank bags and counterholder must be compatible within the same system. A tank bag with lock-IT counterholder is not compatible with a basic tanking and vice versa.
