The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic has been specially developed for the BMW F 850 ​​GS Adventure models from 2019 to 2023. This accessories are used for safe and easy installation of a tank bag directly on the fuel tank of the motorcycle.

Product features

• The tanking ensures a stable hold of the tank bag, even at high driving speeds.
• The tank backpack is installed by a mechanical lock that provides a clear snack noise as soon as the backpack is securely attached.
• To remove the backpack, an unlocking mechanism is operated, which is located at the front of the backpack and is pulled in the direction of travel.
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is required for fuel sac systems.
• The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
• The maximum recommended payload in the tank bag is around 3 kg.

Differences to other tanking systems

The basic tanking works through a purely mechanical locking, in contrast to the Lock-IT fenkringen, which also use magnets to support the centering. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.

It is important to note that tank bags and counterholder must be compatible. A tank bag with a lock-IT counterholder does not fit on a basic tanking ring and vice versa.

This tanking enables the tank cover to be opened easily even with the ring mounted, which offers additional comfort while driving or at tank stops. The scope of delivery includes the tanking and the corresponding counterholder, which can be adjusted depending on the tank shape and handlebar.
