Basic tanking differs from the lock-it tanking by the type of locking: While the basic tanking works purely mechanically, the Lock-IT Model Magnets supports the centering of the backpack.

It is important to note that tank bags with a lock-IT counter holder are not compatible with a basic tankring and vice versa. The same system for tanking and counter holder must always be used.
