BMW R 1200 R [2011-2014] - Tanking Basic including counterpart tank sack

The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic is specially designed for the BMW R 1200 R motorcycle model from the construction years 2011-2014. This product enables stable and safe installation of a tank bag on the machine.

The scope of delivery includes the tanking and a customizable counter holder, which is installed depending on the specific tank shape and the handlebar. The fuel lid remains fully accessible even when tanking is attached, so that the functionality of the machine is not restricted.

Characteristics of tanking

• Reliable support, even at high speeds
• Easy handling through mechanical locking
• Clearly audible snaps in the Hepco & Becker tank bag on the tanking
• Unlocking is done by a front belt on the tank bag in the direction of travel
• No ABE or entry in the vehicle documents in Germany required
• Recommended top speed with assembled tank bag: 130 km/h
• Recommended maximum payload: approx. 3 kg
• Consideration of the manufacturers of the motorcycle and specific instructions are required

The basic tanking differs from the lock-it tanking by the type of locking. While the lock-IT tanking also works with magnets for centering, the locking is made mechanically at basic tanking. Both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.

It is important to note that tank bags and counterholder must be system -compatible. A lock-IT counter holder does not fit on a basic tanking and vice versa.
