Hepco & Becker's tanking basic has been specially developed for the BMW K 1300 R motorcycle model and compatible with the construction years 2009 to 2016. This system serves to secure tank bags from the same manufacturer.

Product features and assembly

The scope of delivery includes a tanking and a counter holder that is installed on the tank bag depending on the tank shape and the handlebar. The tank lid remains fully accessible even when tanking is attached, which simplifies handling.

• The tanking ensures a stable hold even at high speeds.
• The tank bag is attached by a mechanical lock that signals a clearly audible snap.
• The unlocking is operated by a belt on the front area of ​​the tank bag in the direction of travel, which means that the backpack is easy to remove.
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for tank sack systems.
• The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
• The maximum payload should not exceed about 3 kg.

Special features of basic tanking

The basic tanking works purely mechanically in contrast to Lock-IT fueling, which also uses magnets for centering. Both tanking variants use the same model -specific metal ring, but differ in the screwed -on components.

It is important to note that a tank bag with lock-IT counterholder cannot be installed on a basic tanking and vice versa. Both system parts must be compatible.
