Product description: Tanking Basic for BMW K 1300 GT

The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic is specially designed for the BMW K 1300 GT motorcycle model, built in 2009 to 2016. This product enables a safe and practical attachment of a tank bag directly to the fuel tank of the motorcycle. The scope of delivery includes the tanking and a customizable counter holder, which is mounted on the backpack according to the tank shape and the handlebar.

The assembly of the tanking does not affect the functionality of the fuel cap, which can be opened without any problems even when the ring is attached. For the installation, only the tanking and a compatible tank bag for the BMW K 1300 GT model is required.

Characteristics of tanking

• Stable, even at high driving speeds
• Easy handling through mechanical locking
• Clearly audible snapping of the tank bag on the tanking
• Unlocking takes place via a belt on the front part of the tank bag in the direction of travel
• No ABE or entry in vehicle documents in Germany necessary
• Maximum recommendation for the speed with assembled tank bag: 130 km/h
• Recommended maximum payload: approx. 3 kg
• Consideration of the manufacturers of the motorcycle is recommended

Differentiation to Lock-IT fenkringen: The basic tanking ensures mechanically, while the Lock-IT tanking also uses magnets to support the centering. Both systems use the same model -specific metal ring, but differ in the screwed -up components.

Further information: A tank bag with lock-IT counterholder is not compatible with a basic tanking ring and vice versa. It is important that tank sac countertakers and tanking come from the same system.
