The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic was specially developed for the Yamaha YZF-R1 models from the construction years 2009 to 2014. This product enables stable and secure attachment of a compatible tank bag directly to the fuel tank of the motorcycle.

Technical details and scope of delivery

The scope of delivery includes the tanking basic, together with a customizable counter holder that is mounted on the tank bag according to the tank shape and the handlebar. The fuel lid remains fully accessible even with assembled tanking, which the use considerably simplifies.

Functioning and security features

The tank bag is assembled by a simple but effective mechanical lock that ensures a secure hold, even at high speeds. The backpack is unlocked via a belt that is pulled in the direction of travel, which can easily solve the backpack from the tanking. There is no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents in Germany to use the tank bag system.

Comparison between basic and lock-IT fenkringen

The basic tanking differs from the Lock-IT model mainly by the type of locking. While the Lock-IT tanking also uses magnets for the centering, the BASIC model is used to lock purely mechanically. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.

It should also be noted that tank bags and counterholder within the same system must be compatible in order to ensure correct function.
