YAMAHA YZF R [2024-2025] - Complete exhaust system

The brand new one complete exhaust system by Akrapovic for the Yamaha R9 has been specially developed for the 2024-25 models. Its design is based on the Akrapovic exhaust systems of the Yamaha R6, R7 and R1 and is similar to the exhaust systems used in the World Supersport Championship. This high quality exhaust system combines a lightweight titanium muffler outer shell and end cap with a stainless steel connecting pipe, headers and front muffler.

The front silencer is designed to be positioned under the motorcycle body and hidden by the lower fairings, while the silencer exits on the right side for a racing appearance. A catalytic converter is integrated into the system to meet EC/ECE type approval (Euro 5+). The system also comes with an aluminum bracket for the silencer and produces a deep, sporty sound.

Akrapovic engineers paid particular attention to throttle response during the development process. The power and torque increases are 2.2 kW (3.0 hp) at 10,000 rpm and 2.6 Nm at 9,500 rpm, measured on the Akrapovic dyno compared to a Yamaha R9 with standard exhaust system. Installing the exhaust system is simple and does not require reconfiguration of the engine controls.
