Product description: Tanking Basic for Yamaha XT 1200 Z Super Ténéré

The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic has been specially developed for the Yamaha XT 1200 Z Super Ténéré, models from 2010 to 2020. This product enables a safe and easy assembly of a tank bag on the machine mentioned.

The scope of delivery includes the tanking and an adaptable counter holder, which is attached to the tank bag depending on the tank shape and the handlebar. The construction of the tankring allows the fuel cap to open the tank cover without any problems even with the ring attached.

The installation of the tanking only requires this set and a compatible tank bag for the Yamaha XT 1200 Z Super Ténéré.

Characteristics of tanking

• Stable hold, even at high driving speeds
• Mechanical locking enables easy handling
• Clearly audible snapping of the tank bag on the tanking
• Unlocking is done by a belt on the front part of the tank bag in the direction of travel
• No ABE or entry in vehicle documents in Germany necessary
• Maximum recommendation for the driving speed with assembled tank bag: 130 km/h
• Recommended maximum payload: approx. 3 kg

Differences to Lock-IT fenkringen

The basic tanking works similarly to the lock-IT tanking, but the locking is mechanically without the support of magnets that help with the centering. Both tanking variants use the same model -specific metal ring.

A tank bag with lock-IT counterholder is not compatible with the basic tanking. It is important that tank sac countertakers and tanking come from the same system.
