The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic is specially designed for the motorcycle model Yamaha Ténéré 700, built in 2019 to 2024. This component allows a secure and easy attachment of a corresponding tank bag directly to the machine's fuel tank.

Product features and installation

In addition to the ring, the scope of delivery of the tanking basic also includes a customizable counterholder, which is installed depending on the specific tank shape and the impact angle of the handlebar. The assembly of the tankring does not affect the accessibility of the tank cover, which can be easily opened even if the ring is attached.

Differences to other tanking systems

Basic tanking differs from the lock-it system mainly by the type of locking. While the basic tanking works purely mechanically, additional magnets support the centering of the backpack on the Lock-IT system. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.

It is important to note that tank bags and counterholder within the same system must be compatible in order to ensure correct function. A tank bag with lock-IT counterholder is not compatible with a basic tanking and vice versa.
