The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic is designed for the Yamaha TDM 850, models from 1996 to 2001. This accessories are used to secure a tank bag and specifically match the contours and requirements of this motorcycle model.

In addition to the ring, the scope of delivery of the tanking basic also includes a customizable counter holder, which is attached to the motorcycle depending on the specific tank shape and the handlebar. The fuel lid remains fully accessible even with fueling fueling, which ensures additional ease of use.

Technical details

• The tanking enables a mechanical lock that guarantees a secure hold.
• The assembly of the Hepco & Becker tank sack is simply put onto the tanking, whereby the lock creates a clearly audible click.
• A belt that is located at the front of the tank bag and is pulled in the direction of travel to remove the backpack is used for unlocking.
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for the tank sack system.
• The maximum recommended speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
• The recommended maximum payload of the tank bag is around 3 kg.
• It is recommended to always observe the information from the motorcycle manufacturer and the specific information on assembly.

The basic tanking differs from the lock-it tanking by the type of locking. While the Lock-IT tanking also uses magnets for the centering, the locking is purely mechanical for the basic model. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.

It should be noted that a tank bag with lock-IT counterholder cannot be installed on a basic tanking and vice versa. The systems are not compatible.
