The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic was specially developed for the Yamaha TDM 850, models from 1991 to 1995. This product offers a practical solution for attaching tank bags on the motorcycle.

Product features

• The tanking ensures a secure hold of the tank bag, even at higher speeds.
• The tank bag is installed by a simple mechanical locking, which signals a clearly audible snap.
• To remove the tank bag, the locking mechanism is activated by a belt that is located at the front of the backpack.
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is required for the use of the tank bag system.
• The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
• The maximum payload for the tank bag should not exceed about 3 kg.

Installation and compatibility

The tanking basic is included in the delivery of the tanking basic and an adaptable counter holder, which is installed depending on the tank shape and the handlebar attack on the tank bag. The tank cover remains fully accessible even with assembled tanking.

Differentiation to other models

Compared to the Lock-IT tankingen from Hepco & Becker, which are also equipped with magnets for centering, the basic tanking is based exclusively on a mechanical lock. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.

Further information: A tank bag with lock-IT counterholder is not compatible with a basic tanking and vice versa. It is important that both components come from the same system.
