Technical details

Motorcycles commonly use bimetallic relays whose flashing frequency depends on the current in the circuit. By replacing the standard flashers with models with a different performance, this current intensity and thus also the flashing frequency changes. Electronic relays, whose frequency is independent of the current strength, are not affected by such a change.

After installing new turn signals, it is advisable to check the flashing frequency to ensure that it is working correctly. When switching to indicators with bulbs, you should ensure that they have the same output as the original indicators. Otherwise it is necessary to adjust the lamps accordingly.

• Options when using LED indicators:
  • One option is to integrate resistors in parallel in the right and left circuits to compensate for the lower power of the LEDs.
  • Alternatively, the flasher relay can be replaced with a suitable model from our range to ensure the hazard warning system functions correctly.

Please note that on some motorcycle models the hazard warning system can be affected by installing resistors. In such cases it is recommended to replace the relay.
