The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic has been specially developed for the Triumph Street Triple 675 motorcycle model, built in 2013 to 2016. This accessory enables the safe and easy attachment of a tank bag on the motorcycle.

Components and installation

The scope of delivery includes tanking itself and an adaptable counter holder. The counter holder is mounted on the tank bag depending on the shape of the tank and the handle of the handlebar. Even if the tanking is attached, access to the fuel cap remains without restrictions.

Functionality and security

The tank bag is installed by simply putting on the tanking, with a mechanical locking ensures that the backpack sits firmly even at high speeds. The reciprocation of the backpack is carried out by a belt that is located at the front of the tank bag. After unlocking, the tank bag can be easily removed.

• The tanking ensures a stable hold up to a recommended maximum speed of 130 km/h.
• The maximum payload for the tank bag should not exceed about 3 kg.
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for the use of the tank bag system.

Differences to other tanking systems

Compared to the Lock-IT tanking from Hepco & Becker, which also works with magnets for centering, the basic tanking offers a purely mechanical lock. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.

It is important to make sure that tank bags and tanking are compatible and come from the same system, since a tank bag with lock-IT counterholder cannot be installed on a basic tanking.
