TRIUMPH SPEED TRIPLE 1050 [2012-2015] - Z-ring chain

The Regina 525 HPE Z-Ring Chain with Rivet Link sets new standards in performance and durability for motorcycle chains. Thanks to its innovative design, this state-of-the-art chain no longer requires regular relubrication, which was previously required every 1,000 km. This not only offers motorcyclists a significant increase in comfort, but also saves time and maintenance costs.

Extensive testing both in the laboratory and on the road has proven that the service life of the HPE chain is at least as long, if not longer, than that of a conventional, regularly lubricated Z-ring chain. A decisive advantage of the HPE chain is the coating with Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon (ta-C), one of the most advanced coatings from the group of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings. This coating is applied to the surface of the bushings and rollers and reduces energy losses while increasing efficiency in the secondary drive.

The combination of extremely high hardness of the coated surface and a low coefficient of friction results in improved performance. Additionally, the elimination of chain cleaning and lubricant splashes during operation minimizes environmental impact. The development of this innovative coating process was carried out through intensive research and development work by Regina engineers in Italy.
