Product details and scope of delivery

The scope of delivery includes the tanking basic and a suitable counter holder, which is mounted on the tank bag depending on the shape of the tank and the handlebar. The fuel lid remains fully accessible with assembled tanking, which simplifies the handling in everyday life.

Features and functions

  • The tanking ensures a stable hold of the tank bag, even at high speeds.
  • The tank bag is assembled by a mechanical lock that signals a clearly audible snap.
  • For unlocking, a mechanism is activated that is located at the front of the tank bag, which can easily be removed.
  • In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for the tank sack system.
  • The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
  • The maximum payload for the tank bag should not exceed about 3 kg.

Please always note the information from the motorcycle manufacturer and the specific information that is delivered with the product.

Differences to other tanking systems

Compared to the Lock-IT tanking from Hepco & Becker, which also uses magnets for centering, the basic tanking offers a purely mechanical lock. Both systems use the same model-specific metal ring, but differ in the type of plastic or magnetic domes mounted on the tanking.

To use a tank bag with Lock-IT counterholder, it should be noted that it cannot be mounted on a basic tanking and vice versa. It is necessary that tank sac counter and tanking comes from the same system.
