Product description: Tanking Basic for Suzuki RF 900 R

The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic is specially designed for the Suzuki RF 900 R motorcycle model of the 1994-1997. This product offers a reliable solution for assembling a tank bag on your machine.

Compatibility and assembly

The tanking enables easy and safe attachment of a compatible Hepco & Becker tank bag. It is delivered together with a counter holder, which is attached to the tank bag depending on the specific tank shape and the handlebars of the motorcycle. Access to the tank cover remains without restrictions even with fueling fueling.

Characteristics of the tanking basic

  • Stable hold of the tank bag, even at high driving speeds
  • The mechanical locking enables easy handling
  • The tank bag is placed on the tanking and locked with a clearly audible click
  • For unlocking, a belt is pulled on the tank bag, which is attached in the direction of travel, whereupon the tank backpack can be easily removed
  • In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is required for fuel sac systems
  • Recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag: 130 km/h
  • Recommended maximum supply weight: approx. 3 kg
  • Always note the information from the motorcycle manufacturer and the specific instructions for assembly

Differences to other tankingen

Compared to the Lock-IT tanking from Hepco & Becker, which also uses magnets for centering, the basic tanking offers a purely mechanical lock. Both systems use the same model -specific metal ring, but differ in the screwed -on components on the ring itself.

Additional Information

Please note that tank bags and counterholder must be compatible within the same system. A tank bag with lock-IT counterholder is not compatible with a basic tanking and vice versa.
