Product description: Tanking Basic for Suzuki GSX-R 750

The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic was specially developed for the Suzuki GSX-R 750 motorcycle model from 1992 to 1995. This part serves to secure and easily attach a compatible tank bag directly on the fuel tank of the motorcycle.

Product details and scope of delivery

The scope of delivery of this product includes tanking and a customizable counterholder, which is attached to the tank bag depending on the specific tank shape and handlebar. The assembly of the tanking does not affect the function of the fuel cap, which can be opened without any problems even when the ring is attached.

Features and functions

  • The tanking ensures a secure hold, even at high driving speeds.
  • The system has a mechanical lock that simplifies the operation.
  • The Hepco & Becker tank bag is placed on the tanking and locks itself with a clear click noise.
  • For unlocking, a mechanism is operated, which is located at the front of the tank bag, whereupon the backpack can be easily removed.
  • In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for tank sack systems.
  • The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
  • The maximum payload for the tank bag should not exceed about 3 kg.

Please always note the information from the motorcycle manufacturer and the specific instructions that are delivered with the product.

Differences to other tanking systems

Compared to the Lock-IT system from Hepco & Becker, which also uses magnets for centering, the basic tanking is based exclusively on a mechanical lock. Both systems use the same model-specific metal ring, but differ in the type of domes mounted on the ring-plastic in the basic and magnets at Lock-IT.

It is important to note that tank bag and tanking must be compatible and should come from the same system to ensure correct function.
