The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic was specially developed for the Suzuki GSX-R 1000 2012 to 2016 construction years. This accessory is used to secure a compatible tank bag directly on the motorcycle.

Components and assembly

In addition to the ring, the scope of delivery of the tanking basic also includes a customizable counter holder, which is attached to the tank bag depending on the tank shape and handlebar impact. The fuel lid remains fully accessible even with assembled tanking, which makes it easier to use in everyday life.

Features and functions

• The tanking ensures a stable hold of the tank bag, even at high speeds.
• The operation is carried out by a mechanical lock that enables an audible snapping when the tank bag is put on.
• A belt is used for unlocking, which is attached to the front part of the tank bag in the direction of travel. This enables the backpack to be removed quickly.
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for this tank bag system.
• The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
• The maximum payload for the tank bag should not exceed about 3 kg.

Notes on compatibility

It is important that the tanking and the tank bag come from the same system to ensure a correct function. A tank bag with lock-IT counterholder is not compatible with a basic tanking and Vice Versa.
