The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic is specially designed for the Suzuki GSX-R 1000 models from 2001 to 2003. This accessory enables a safe and easy attachment of a tank bag directly to the motorcycle.

Product features

• The tanking ensures a stable hold of the tank bag, even at high driving speeds.
• The tank bag is assembled by a mechanical lock that signals a clear snap.
• To remove the tank bag, the unlocking mechanism is used, which is located at the front of the backpack.
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for the use of the tank bag system.
• The maximum recommended speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
• The recommended maximum payload for the tank bag is around 3 kg.

Scope of delivery and installation

The scope of delivery includes the tanking basic and an adaptable counter holder, which is installed depending on the tank shape and the handlebars on the tank bag. The fuel lid remains fully accessible even when fueled.

Differences to other models

Compared to the Lock-IT fueling from Hepco & Becker, which also use magnets for the centering, the basic tanking offers a purely mechanical lock. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.
