Product description: Hepco & Becker Tankring Basic for Suzuki GSX 650 F

The Hepco & Becker Tankring Basic was specially developed for the Suzuki GSX 650 F models from the construction years 2008 to 2016. This accessory enables a secure and easy attachment of a compatible tank bag directly to the fuel tank of the motorcycle.

The scope of delivery of the product includes the tanking and an adaptable counter holder, which is installed depending on the specific tank shape and the handlebar attack on the tank bag. The tank cover remains fully accessible even with fueling fueling, which ensures additional comfort when refueling.

Technical features and assembly

  • The tanking ensures a stable hold, even when driving at higher speeds.
  • The assembly takes place through a mechanical lock that enables simple handling.
  • The fuel pack on the tanking is locked with a clearly audible click.
  • A mechanism is used for unlocking, which is operated by a belt on the front part of the tank bag in the direction of travel, whereupon the backpack can be easily removed.
  • In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for the tank sack system.
  • The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
  • The maximum payload for the tank bag should not exceed about 3 kg.

Please always note the information from the motorcycle manufacturer and the specific information in the assembly instructions of the product.

Differences to other tanking systems

The basic tanking works through a purely mechanical locking, in contrast to the Lock-IT fenkringen, which also use magnets for centering. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.

It is important to note that tank bags and counterholder within the same system must be compatible in order to ensure correct function.
