The AXP underrun protection is made from an 8mm thick polyethylene plastic, which offers outstanding resistance to impact and abrasion. The latest version of this skid plate incorporates improved features based on end-user feedback and technical insights.

Design improvements: The underrun guard has been redesigned to make it easier to install with the original KTM fuel pump guard. A special plate protects against heat-related melting of the plastic, while a newly integrated hole on the right side allows the hose to be guided neatly.

Additional protection: The AXP tank shoe effectively protects both sides of the tank by also covering the fuel pump. An integrated intermediate foam prevents friction and paint chipping, resulting in a longer service life for the painted surfaces.

Reinforcements for increased durability: The underbody protection welds have been revised and reinforced with 4mm thick aluminum plates for additional rigidity and durability.
