KAWASAKI ZX [1996-2003] - Z-ring chain 525 HPE with rivet lock

The Regina Z-Ring chain 525 HPE with rivet lock sets new standards in the performance and durability of motorcycle chains. This state-of-the-art chain features innovative Z-ring technology that eliminates the need for regular relubrication. Motorcyclists benefit from a significant reduction in maintenance work as the chain no longer needs to be lubricated every 1,000 km.

Extensive testing in laboratories and on the road has proven that the service life of the HPE chain is at least as long, if not longer, than that of a conventional, regularly lubricated Z-ring chain. Another outstanding feature is the tetrahedral amorphous carbon (ta-C) coating, one of the most advanced coatings from the group of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings. This coating is applied to the surface of the chain's bushings and rollers and ensures a reduction in energy losses and increased efficiency in the secondary drive.

The ta-C coating combines extreme hardness with a low coefficient of friction, further increasing efficiency and minimizing environmental impact by eliminating chain cleaning and lubricant splashes during operation. The development of this innovative coating process was carried out through intensive research and development work by Regina engineers in Italy.
