The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic was specially developed for the Kawasaki GPZ 500 S models from the construction years 1988 to 1993. This product enables a secure and easy attachment of a compatible tank bag directly on the motorcycle tank.

Product content and installation

The tanking basic set is included in the delivery of the tanking and an adaptable counter holder. The counter holder is installed depending on the specific tank shape and the handlebars on the tank bag. The fuel lid remains fully accessible even with assembled tanking, which the use considerably simplifies.

The tanking Basic differs from the Lock-IT fenkringen mainly by the type of locking. While the basic tanking works purely mechanically, additional magnets support the centering of the tank bag in the lock-IT models. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.

It should also be noted that tank bags and counterholder within the same system must be compatible in order to ensure correct function. A tank bag with a lock-IT counter holder cannot be installed on a basic tanking ring and vice versa.
