Assembly instructions:

Follow these steps to properly install the brake lever:

  • First, note where the height of the pedal tip is in relation to the footrest.
  • Remove the R-clip or cotter pin from the back of the brake bolt located behind the frame.
  • Remove the screw securing the pedal to the frame.
  • Release the return spring from the pedal and let it hang.
  • Turn the pedal outward and expose the cotter pin on the back of the pedal slider.
  • Remove this cotter pin and the fixing dowel; the rear brake pedal can now be removed.
  • Now install the brake lever locking wire.
  • Adjust the pedal height to the correct position and free play by loosening the nut above the clevis.
