The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic has been specially developed for the motorcycle model Honda CRF 1100 L Africa Twin in the years of construction 2024 to 2025. This accessory is used to secure a tank bag secure and is tailored to the specific requirements of this machine.

Product details and scope of delivery

The scope of delivery includes the tanking and an adaptable counter holder that is installed depending on the tank shape and the handlebar attack on the tank bag. The construction of the tanking enables the tank cover to be opened without any problems even with the ring attached.

Characteristics of tanking

• The tanking ensures a secure hold even at high driving speeds.
• The operation is carried out via a mechanical locking that enables easy putting on and enables audible snapping of the tank bag.
• The unlocking of the tank bag is triggered by a belt on the front of the backpack in the direction of travel, whereupon the backpack can be easily removed.
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for the tank sack system.
• A maximum speed of 130 km/h with assembled tank bag is recommended.
• The recommended maximum payload is about 3 kg.
• It is advised to observe the instructions of the motorcycle manufacturer and the specific information in the assembly instructions.

Differences to other tanking models

Compared to the Lock-IT fueling from Hepco & Becker, which also work with magnets for centering, the Basic tanking offers a purely mechanical lock. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring as the basis.

It should also be noted that a tank bag with a lock-IT counterholder cannot be installed on a basic tanking and vice versa, since the systems are not compatible.
