Description of services

At the center of innovation BITUBO CLU31V2 stands for its ability to hydraulically adjust the spring preload settings. This can be done either manually or with a 14mm hex wrench. A specially designed handwheel with three wings allows for easy adjustment without additional tools and can also be used as a spare part for other models from 2009 onwards.

The separate compensation tray improves the cooling of the liquid and enables flexible positioning. This is coupled with a high-pressure metal braided hose that provides quick shock response and increased driving stability through improved grip and comfort.

Technological features

Filled with nitrogen and a floating oil/gas separator piston in a separate chamber, this shock absorber offers first-class performance. The piston skirt has a diameter of 16 mm and has an anti-friction treatment, which, together with the guide bushings, results in a low friction index. The upper connection head is made of high quality aeronautical aluminum alloy and precisely machined with CNC machines.

Setting options

  • Low speed compression: 24 clicks
  • Compression at high speeds: 20 clicks
  • Extension: 24 clicks
  • Hydraulic spring preload: 12mm = 24 clicks
  • Center distance: 8 mm

In addition, each pack contains specific assembly instructions for each motorcycle model, a damping manual and, as a possible accessory, an ergonomically designed Ergal handwheel for the preload knob.
