Product description: Hepco & Becker Tankring Basic for Honda CRF 1000 L Africa Twin

The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic has been specially developed for the Honda CRF 1000 L Africa Twin model from 2018 to 2019. This tanking enables Hepco & Becker brand to fast and secure fuel bags from the Hepco & Becker brand.

Product features

  • Stable and secure attachment of the tank bag, even at higher speeds
  • The tank bag is assembled by a mechanical locking, which signals a clearly audible snap
  • To remove the backpack, the unlocking mechanism is operated, which is attached to the front of the tank bag
  • In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for the use of the tank bag system
  • Recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag: 130 km/h
  • Recommended maximum payload: approx. 3 kg
  • It is recommended to observe the specific information from the motorcycle manufacturer and the instructions of the product

Differences to other tanking systems

The basic tanking works with a purely mechanical lock, while the Lock-IT system also uses magnets to center. Both systems use the same model-specific metal ring, but differ in the type of domes mounted on the tanking (plastic for basic, magnets at Lock-IT).

Compatibility instructions

Please note that tank sac countertakers and tanking should be compatible and both should come from the same system. A tank bag with lock-IT counterholder is not compatible with a basic tanking ring and vice versa.

This product offers a practical solution for attaching a tank bag without impairing the accessibility of the fuel cap. The tanking and the corresponding counterholder are included in the scope of delivery and can be individually adapted to the tank shape and the handlebar.
