The Hepco & Becker Tankring Basic has been specially developed for the motorcycle model BMW S 1000 XR of the construction years 2020 to 2023. This accessory serves the safe and easy attachment of a tank bag directly on the machine's fuel tank.

Installation and compatibility

Both the tanking itself and an adaptable counter holder are included in the scope of delivery of the tanking basic. Depending on the specific tank shape and the handlebar, the counter holder can be easily installed on the tank bag. Even when fueling is attached, access to the tank cover remains unimpeded.

Characteristics of the tanking basic

• The tanking ensures a stable hold, even at high driving speeds.
• The operation is carried out by a mechanical locking, which enables a clearly audible snapping when the tank bag is put on.
• The tank bag is unlocked simply by pressing a belt on the front area of ​​the backpack in the direction of travel.
• The use of the tank bag system does not require a general operating license (ABE) in Germany or an entry in the vehicle documents.
• The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
• The maximum payload for the tank bag should not exceed about 3 kg.

Differences to other tankingen

The basic tanking differs from the Lock-IT tanking with its purely mechanical locking function, while the Lock-IT tanking also uses magnets for centering. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring.
