The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic was specially developed for the BMW S 1000 RR models from the years of construction 2019 to 2022. This practical accessories are used to secure a compatible tank bag directly on the motorcycle.

Product features

• The tanking ensures a stable bracket of the tank bag, even at higher speeds.
• A simple handling is ensured by the mechanical locking system.
• The tank bag is installed by simply putting on the tanking, with a clearly audible snap signaling the correct attachment.
• To loosen the backpack, an unlocking mechanism is operated, which is located on the front area of ​​the backpack.
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for the use of the tank bag system.
• The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
• The maximum payload for the tank bag should not exceed about 3 kg.

In addition to the ring, the delivery of the tanking basic also includes a suitable counter holder, which is attached to the tank bag depending on the tank shape and handlebar. The fuel lid remains fully accessible even when fueled.

Differences to other tanking systems

Compared to the Lock-IT system from Hepco & Becker, which also uses magnets for centering, the basic tanking offers a purely mechanical lock. However, both systems use the same model -specific metal ring. It should be noted that tank bags and counterholder of the lock-IT system are not compatible with the basic tanking and vice versa.
