Overview of the tanking basic for BMW S 1000 R

The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic was specially developed for the motorcycle model BMW S 1000 R of the construction years 2014 to 2020. This product enables solid and safe attachment of tank bags of the same manufacturer on the motorcycle tank.

Product features

• Stable hold of the tank bag, even at higher speeds
• Mechanical locking ensures simple handling
• Clearly audible snapping of the tank bag on the tanking
• Unlocking takes place by a belt on the tank bag, which is pulled in the direction of travel
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) is required to use the tank bag system
• Recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag: 130 km/h
• Recommended maximum payload in the tank bag: approx. 3 kg
• Always follow the information from the motorcycle manufacturer and the specific instructions for your model

The tanking and the counter holder are included and can be individually mounted on the tank bag depending on the tank shape and handlebar. Even when fueling is attached, access to the tank cover remains unimpeded.

Differences between basic and lock-IT fenkringen

While both tanking versions work fundamentally the same, the basic tanking is different from the exclusively mechanical locking. In contrast, the centering of the backpack supports the Lock-IT tanking magnets. Both systems use the same model -specific metal ring, but the attachments made of plastic or magnet are different.

Please note that a tank bag with a lock-IT counterholder cannot be installed on a basic tank ring and vice versa. It is important that tank sac countertakers and tanking come from the same system.
