Product description: Tanking Basic for BMW R 850 GS

The Hepco & Becker tanking basic is a practical solution to assemble a tank sack on the BMW R 850 GS, model years 1994 to 2000. This product enables the tank bag to impair the tank bag without the ability to use the fuel cap.

Product details

The scope of delivery includes the tanking and an adaptable counter holder that is adjusted according to the specific tank shape and the handlebar. The assembly of the tankring does not affect the opening of the tank cover, which ensures continuous user -friendliness.

Properties of tanking

  • The tank bag is securely attached and can be kept stable even at higher speeds.
  • The operation is carried out via a mechanical lock that enables simple handling.
  • The locking of the tank bag on the tanking is clearly audible, which offers additional security.
  • A mechanism is used for unlocking, which is activated by pulling a belt in the direction of travel in order to easily remove the tank bag.
  • In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for tank sack systems.
  • The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
  • The recommended maximum payload is about 3 kg.
  • It is recommended to observe the specific manufacturer information and the model -specific information.

Differences between lock-it and basic tankingen:

While the basic function and operation of both tanking types is similar, the basic tanking differs in the purely mechanical lock. The Lock-IT fenkring also supports magnets in centering the tank bag. However, the basis of both systems forms a model -specific metal ring.

Further information:

A tank bag with lock-IT counterholder is not compatible with the basic tanking and vice versa. It is important that tank sac countertakers and tanking come from the same system.
