BMW R 1300 GS ADVENTURE [2023-2025] - Protection bar set

The protective bar set made of sandblasted 25 mm titanium tubes combines low weight with improved corrosion resistance and has been specially developed for the BMW R 1300 GS / R 1300 GS Adventure. Weighing just 3.02kg, this set is one of the lightest on the market, yet offers the same high-strength mechanical properties as comparable stainless steel versions that are approximately 40% heavier.

This protective bar set, precisely manufactured by Akrapovic, is not only light but also robust. It is partially attached to the chassis to optimally distribute the forces in the event of an impact. The integration into the motorcycle components has been carefully examined, supported by numerous tests and deformation analyses. The set does not affect the maximum lean angle of the motorcycle and complies with ABE type approval.

In addition, 2.5mm thick carbon fiber protection elements are integrated, which not only provide structural strength but can also be replaced should they become damaged. The TIG welds are precisely placed and the 10mm flanges are laser cut and finely machined to ensure a perfect fit and high strength. The design is rounded off by the engraved Akrapovic logo and the prominently placed “Titanium” lettering.

The protective bar set also allows the attachment of additional bags as well as fog and searchlights from BMW and other manufacturers. To assemble the guard bar set, installation by a qualified mechanic is recommended. It is compatible with the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure and the BMW Option 719.
