Product description: Tanking Basic for BMW R 1200 GS

The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic was specially developed for the motorcycle model BMW R 1200 GS from the construction years 2004 to 2007. This product enables a suitable tank bag to be assembled safely and firmly on the motorcycle.

The scope of delivery includes the tanking and the corresponding counterholder, which is attached to the tank bag depending on the tank shape and handlebar. Even with installed tanking, access to the fuel cap remains without restrictions.

The installation of the tanking is uncomplicated and only requires the tanking itself and a compatible tank bag for the specified motorcycle model.

• Clearly audible snaps in the tank bag during assembly
• Unlocking by pressing a belt on the tank bag
• No separate approval or entry in vehicle documents in Germany required

Differences to other tanking models

Basic tanking differs from the lock-it fueling mainly by the lack of magnets that help with the centering. In the Basic model, the lock is only mechanically. The basis of the tanking, the metal ring, is identical in both models.

In addition, it should be noted that tank bags with a lock-IT counter holder are not compatible with the basic tanking and vice versa. It is important that tank bags and tanking come from the same system.
