Product description: Hepco & Becker Tankring Basic for BMW K 1200 R

The Hepco & Becker Tankring Basic is specially designed for the motorcycle model BMW K 1200 R of the construction years 2005 to 2008. This accessory enables stable and secure attachment of a compatible tank bag directly to the fuel tank of the motorcycle.

Technical details and assembly

In addition to the ring itself, the scope of delivery of the tankring Basic also includes a customizable counterholder. This can be installed on the tank and the impact angle of the handlebar on the tank bag. The assembly of the tanking continues to enable the tank cover to open without problems.

Compatibility and security

The tanking was specially developed for the BMW K 1200 R and is listed in the "Mein Bike" database. Only a suitable tank bag is required for use. The connection between tanking and backpack is made by a mechanical lock, which is confirmed by a clearly audible click. The system enables easy handling and offers a secure hold even at high speeds.

• No ABE or entry in vehicle documents in Germany required

Differences to other tankingen

Compared to the Lock-IT tanking from Hepco & Becker, which also works with magnets for centering, the basic tanking offers a purely mechanical lock. Both systems use the same model -specific metal ring, but differ in the components attached.

Please note that tank bags and tankers of the same system must be compatible in order to ensure correct function. A tank bag with lock-IT counterholder is not compatible with the basic tanking and vice versa.
