The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic for the motorcycle model BMW F 900 XR, suitable for the construction years 2020 to 2024, represents a solid solution to attach a tank bag. This system enables the tank bag to be safe and easy to assemble on the motorcycle.

Product features

• The tanking enables a stable hold of the tank bag, even at higher speeds.
• Thanks to a mechanical lock, the tank bag can be easily put on and locked safely.
• The unlocking takes place via a belt on the front part of the tank bag, which is pulled in the direction of travel to loosen the backpack.
• In Germany, no general operating license (ABE) or an entry in the vehicle documents is necessary for the tank sack system.
• The recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag is 130 km/h.
• The recommended maximum payload for the tank bag is around 3 kg.

Installation and use

The tanking and the corresponding counterholder that is screwed to the tank bag are included. The fuel lid remains fully accessible even with assembled tanking, which the use considerably simplifies. It is only necessary for the tanking and a compatible tank bag for the BMW F 900 XR to fully use the system.

Differences to other systems

Compared to the Lock-IT fueling from Hepco & Becker, which also work with magnets for centering, the Basic tanking offers a purely mechanical lock. Both systems use the same model -specific metal ring, but differ in the type of additional fastening elements on the ring.

A notice: A tank bag with lock-IT counterholder is not compatible with the basic tanking and vice versa. It is important that both the counter holder and the tanking come from the same system.
