The AXP Adventure Skid Plate is made from 8mm thick, high-density polyethylene plastic and guarantees excellent protection thanks to its robustness and elasticity. Compared to traditional materials such as aluminum or carbon, HDPE offers greater impact resistance while being 30 to 40% lighter. After an impact, the material returns to its original shape, allowing it to slide over obstacles without permanent deformation.

The protective plate is mounted directly on the engine block with a front and rear fastening system, which is additionally stabilized by a wedge system. Another detail is the 8 mm thick foam that is placed under the engine and effectively absorbs shocks without covering the water pump.

It is important to note that the AXP Adventure Skid Plate is only compatible with certain model years of the BMW F900GS and checking compatibility with other accessories is recommended before ordering. An alternative version without crash bar compatibility is also available.
