Step 1: Preparation
Before you start working, make sure you have the right tools on hand: a wrench, a cross -slot screwdriver and a new clutch train. Also wear gloves to protect your hands.
Step 2: Access to the coupling
Remove the motorcycle side panel to get access to the coupling. With the Triumph Speed Triple 1050, you usually only have to loosen a few screws to take off the cladding.
Step 3: Remove the old clutch train
Locate the old clutch train and solve the brackets. Remove the train both on the clutch lever and the engine. Be careful not to remove the train so as not to damage other components.
Step 4: Use a new clutch train
Take the new clutch train and take it through the same brackets from which you have removed the old train. Make sure that the train sits properly and is not kinked or twisted.
Step 5: make settings
Set the voltage of the clutch train by using the adjustment screw on the clutch lever. Check whether the lever is smooth and there is no excessive voltage.
Step 6: completion and test drive
Put on the side cladding and secure it with the screws. Start the motorcycle and test the clutch by switching several times. Make sure that everything works perfectly before taking a test drive.
How often should the clutch train be changed?
The clutch train should be changed every few years or as required, especially if you find signs of wear or damage.
Can I change the clutch train myself?
Yes, with the right tools and instructions, most motorcycle owners can change the clutch train themselves.
