Step 1: Preparation
Make sure the motorcycle is on a stable surface. Wear gloves and safety glasses. Check the tools you need: wrenches, pliers and possibly a small screwdriver.
Step 2: Remove old gas trains
Open the cover of the throttle and solve the fastening screws. Carefully pull out the old gas train and separate it from the throttle valve. Make sure not to damage any other cables.
Step 3: Prepare new gas train
Take the new, reinforced gas train and check whether all parts are available. Lubricate the ends of the gas train slightly with a little oil to make insertion easier.
Step 4: Install new gas train
Insert one end of the gas train into the throttle valve and the other end to the throttle. Make sure that the train is not twisted. Attach the gas train according to the manufacturer's information.
Step 5: Setting
Adjust the tension of the gas train so that the handle is smooth, but has no scope. Check the function by turning the throttle several times.
Step 6: final control
Check all connections for strength. Start the motorcycle and test the gas train in the stand. Pay attention to an even response and no unusual noises.
How often should I check the gas train?
It is recommended to check the gas procession for wear and functionality every 3-6 months.
What do I do when the gas train is stuck?
When the gas train is stuck, first check the tension and the course of the train. Clean it and smear it if necessary. If the problem continues to exist, replace the gas train.
