Step 1: Preparation

Before starting work, make sure that you have all the tools you need: wrenches, pliers and a new gas train for the Husqvarna SMR 570 (2003). Switch off the ignition and remove the key from the ignition lock.

Step 2: Remove the old gas train

Open the bench and remove the covering of the handlebar area. Find the gas train and loosen the fastening screw on the carburetor. Carefully pull out the old gas train and be careful not to damage any other parts.

Step 3: Inserting the new gas train

Take the new gas train and take it through the same route as the old one. Attach the gas train to the carburetor by tightening the screw again. Make sure that the train sits properly and is not kinked or twisted.

Step 4: Setting the gas train

Check the voltage of the gas train. It should be sufficient so that the throttle grip works smoothly, but not too loose to avoid jerking. If necessary, adjust the voltage with the adjustment screw on the gas train.

Step 5: Testing the gas train

Start the motorcycle and test the gas train by pressing the throttle. Make sure that the engine accelerates evenly and the throttle valve closes properly. If everything works perfectly, you can continue with the next step.

Step 6: completion and care

Build the cover and the bench again. Check the condition of the gas train regularly and smear it if necessary to ensure a smooth function. Store the motorcycle in a dry place to avoid damage caused by moisture.

How often should the gas train be checked?

It is recommended to check the gas train at least once a season or after every long journey.

Can I change the gas train myself?

Yes, with the right tools and instructions you can change the gas train yourself. In the event of uncertainties, however, a specialist should be consulted.
