Step 1: Make preparations

Make sure you have all the tools and materials required. This includes a new clutch train, wrench, pliers and possibly a cross slot screwdriver. Work in a safe place, ideally in a well -lit garage.

Step 2: Remove old clutch trains

Open the cover of the clutch lever and loosen the fastening screw. Carefully pull out the old clutch train and make sure that no parts are damaged. Remove the clutch train on the engine and remove it completely.

Step 3: Insert a new clutch train

Guide the new clutch train through the same openings through which the old train was removed. Make sure that the train sits correctly and has no kinks or twists. Attach the train to the clutch lever and the engine.

Step 4: Setting the clutch train

Set the clutch train so that it has enough game but is not too loose. A good clue is a game of about 2-3 mm on the lever. Test the function by pressing the clutch lever.

Step 5: Carry out the test drive

Perform a short test drive to ensure that the clutch works properly. Pay attention to unusual noises or problems when switching. If everything works well, you can attach the cover again.

Step 6: Maintenance and care

Check the condition of the clutch train regularly and smear it if necessary. Make sure not to overstretch the train and replace it immediately at first signs of wear.

How often should I check the clutch train?

It is recommended to check the clutch train at least once a year or in front of longer journeys to ensure that it is in good condition.

What to do if the clutch train tears?

If the clutch train tears, the motorcycle should be stopped immediately. The old train must be removed and replaced by a new one. Do not continue because this can lead to serious damage to the gear.
