Step 1: Preparation

Before you start installing the LED blinkers, make sure that you have all the required tools and materials. This includes the new LED turn signals, resistors with an e-test mark, a screwdriver, pliers and insulating tape.

Step 2: Remove old indicators

Switch off the motorcycle and separate the battery. Remove the old turn signals by loosening the screws and removing the cables. Make sure not to damage the cables.

Step 3: Connect resistance

Connect the resistances to the cables of the new LED indicators. This can vary depending on the model, so you should follow the manufacturer's instructions. Make sure the connections are well insulated to avoid short circuits.

Step 4: mount new indicators

Place the new LED blinkers to the places intended and secure them with the screws. Make sure you sit firmly and are properly aligned.

Step 5: carry out the function test

Connect the battery again and test the new turn signals. Check whether you flash correctly and the resistors fulfill your function.

Step 6: Care and maintenance

To extend the lifespan of your new LED indicators, clean them regularly and check the cable connections for corrosion or damage.

Question 1: Why do I need resistance for LED blinkers?

LED blinkers draw less electricity than conventional incandescent lamps. The resistances ensure that the turn signal works correctly and the flashing behavior remains stable.

Question 2: Can I install the indicators myself?

Yes, installation of the turn signals is easy and can be carried out with basic tools. However, make sure to follow the instructions precisely and take safety precautions.
