Step 1: Preparation

Make sure you have all the necessary tools and materials on hand. Switch off the motorcycle and pull off the key to ensure that no power source is connected.

Step 2: Tools and materials

You need: a wrench, a screwdriver, the new LED indicators, resistances with e-test mark and insulating tape.

Step 3: Remove old indicators

Loose the screws of the old turn signals with the wrench or screwdriver. Carefully pull off the turn signals and separate the electrical connections.

Step 4: Install new turn signals

Connect the new LED blinkers to the electrical connections. Make sure that polarity is correct. Attach the turn signals with the screws you have previously removed.

Step 5: Connect resistance

Connect the resistors in parallel to the turn signal connections. This prevents the indicators from flashing too quickly. Isolate the connections with insulating tape to avoid short circuits.

Step 6: Functional test

Turn on the motorcycle and test the new turn signals. Check whether you flash properly and that the speed is constant.

FAQ 1: Do I always have to install the resistances?

Yes, the resistances are necessary to ensure an optimal flashing frequency and protect the motorcycle electronics.

FAQ 2: Can I also install the indicators?

Yes, installation of the turn signals is easy and can be carried out by everyone with basic mechanical skills.
