Step 1: Preparation

Make sure you have all the tools you need: a screwdriver, pliers and the new LED blinkers with resistances. Switch off the motorcycle and remove the key.

Step 2: Remove old indicators

Open the blinker cover and loosen the screws or clips to remove the old turn signals. Carefully separate the cables to avoid damage.

Step 3: Install resistors

Install the supplied resistances to operate the indicators correctly. Connect the resistances to the turn signal cables according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Step 4: Connect new turn signals

Connect the new LED indicators to the cables. Make sure to consider the polarity: plus and minus must be connected correctly.

Step 5: carry out the function test

Before assembling everything, test the new turn signals. Turn on the ignition and press the indicator to ensure that everything works properly.

Step 6: Care and maintenance

Secure the indicators with the screws or clips and put the cover back on. Check all electrical connections for corrosion or damage regularly.

How long do the new LED blinkers last?

The lifespan of LED indicators can be up to 50,000 hours, depending on the use and the ambient conditions.

Do I need a special approval for installation?

In Germany you do not need any special approval as long as the indicators wear the e-test mark.
